Does Having White Teeth Have Merits?

Most people visit a cosmetic dentist for one common reason: getting their teeth whitened. Whether due to age or daily habits, stained teeth is not something a lot of people would want. Are there actual merits to having whiter teeth, though?

As a matter of fact, there are. A recent study published just last 2013 in the U.K., it was found that a bright white smile can definitely help anyone in landing a new job, and even to have a nice first date. The study has also determined that people with whiter teeth are perceived to be more successful, attractive, and appear five years younger than they actually are.

If you have whiter teeth, your confidence also gets a bit of a boost. A bright smile can help make a person feel and look more confident, which can be very helpful in today’s typical workplace. Employees with whiter teeth tend to make a favorable impression during official company functions like meetings, and in the business world, a bright smile can also quickly foster trust among potential investors and customers alike.

Like a thick head of hair, whiter teeth have been associated as well with good health and vitality. Since health is a considerable concern these days, people can easily view those with whiter teeth as individuals who take good care of themselves.
